About the artist

Vlad Borzyk

I am a painter based in Exeter, near Grand Bend, Ontario. My work centres on still life and the landscapes of Lake Huron, combining classical training with an impressionist approach to colour, light and brushwork.

I trained at the Faculty of Art and Graphics of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky in Odesa, Ukraine, and taught drawing and painting at the Kostandi Art School for Children for two years. Painting and mosaic are parallel parts of my practice.

I am a member artist at Sunset Arts Gallery in Grand Bend and teach art workshops at the South Huron Arts Centre in Exeter. My paintings have been included in juried exhibitions in Ontario, including Paint Ontario, ART COMP and the BMFA Juried Art Show.
